The Chicago Bears have waived Iwuh and promoted linebacker Patrick Trahan from the practice squad.||||||| The Bears announced the moves Tuesday, two days after Iwuh hurt his hamstring in a loss at Oakland. Iwuh had 32 special-teams tackles in two seasons with Chicago, including a team-high 14 this year. He spent his first four seasons with Jacksonville.

Iwuh signed a contract extension with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday.||||||| Iwuh, a restricted free agent, has played in 43 games since joining the club as a undrafted rookie free agent in 2006. Iwuh has 26 tackles and 44 special teams tackles in three seasons. He could vie for a starting spot this fall with the expected departure of free agent linebacker Mike Peterson.
