Edwards is active and will start for the New York Jets in Sunday's season finale against the Buffalo Bills.||||||| Edwards was listed as questionable because of a hamstring/knee injury. He starts in place of Chaz Schilens, who was ruled out Saturday because of a knee injury.

Edwards caught three passes for 36 yards on Sunday in a 27-17 loss to San Diego.||||||| It's hard to believe that Edwards is still in the NFL, but may not be since he's on the anemic Jets.

Rex Ryan is "optimistic" Edwards will play in the New York Jets' game at Tennessee on Monday night despite the newly re-acquired wide receiver being limited in practice and listed as questionable.||||||| Edwards, claimed off waivers from Seattle on Tuesday, is dealing with a hamstring issue sustained earlier this month. Ryan says Saturday that he believes Edwards will "definitely get to play" at Tennessee and adds that the receiver is "getting better every day."

The Jets are bringing back Edwards, less than a week after he bashed the organization in support of quarterback Mark Sanchez.||||||| New York was awarded Edwards off waivers from Seattle on Tuesday. Edwards, who played for New York from 2009-10, was waived by Seattle on Monday. He had two productive seasons with the Jets, developing a good rapport with Sanchez in helping New York to consecutive trips to the AFC title game.

The Seattle Seahawks have cut Edwards after a season during which he had little impact on the offense.||||||| Seattle made the moves Tuesday afternoon. Edwards was waived with an injury distinction, but no specific injury was cited. The Seahawks now have just five healthy wide receivers. Edwards had just eight catches for 74 yards and one touchdown in 10 games.
