Siler is starting for the Kansas City Chiefs in Sunday's game against the Panthers in place of Jovan Belcher, the linebacker who was involved in Saturday's murder-suicide in Kansas City.|||||||
Siler is making his 13th start in five NFL seasons and his first since Jan. 2, 2011, when he was a member of the San Diego Chargers.

Siler spent the past four seasons with the AFC West-rival San Diego Chargers, where he played 63 games and made 13 starts during the regular season and playoffs. The 6-foot-2, 239-pound Siler was a seventh-round draft pick in 2007 after helping the Florida Gators win the national title. Siler is considered a run-stuffing linebacker and is expected to pair with Derrick Johnson on the inside.
