Jackson was placed on IR with a toe injury and will miss the season.||||||| Jackson signed a two-year, $4.5 million free agent contract with Cleveland before training camp opened. He got hurt in an Aug. 19 exhibition against Detroit and has been in a cast for two weeks. The Browns have not specified his injury and given no timetable for his return.

Jackson had 18 carries for 39 yards in Sunday's 45-17 win over the Giants. He also had a 10-yard reception from Aaron Rodgers.||||||| With Rodgers shredding New York's woeful defense, Jackson wasn't needed for production.

Jackson isn't getting his hopes up again. Fourteen weeks after he first thought he'd take over as the Green Bay Packers' go-to back, Jackson finally got 22 carries Sunday night at New England. Maybe this time it will be the beginning of a trend.||||||| Jackson was given the starting job in 2007 as a rookie second-round draft pick, only to hurt his shin in his third start and watch as Ryan Grant emerged as the featured back. Jackson had been waiting three years to get another chance to be the guy. Expect him to get plenty of carries in Sunday's showdown with the New York Giants.
