Quinn and the Seattle Seahawks officially finalized their deal to make him the backup quarterback to starter Russell Wilson on Thursday. Terms of the contract were not available. Quinn and the Seahawks agreed to the deal earlier this week.|||||||
Quinn joins Josh Portis as the expected backups to Wilson. Quinn played last year for the Chiefs, starting eight games. It was his first regular-season playing time since the 2009 season.

That thrust Quinn, a former first-round draft pick, into the starting lineup against Tampa Bay, and when Cassel was cleared to play, Crennel decided to stick with Quinn on a permanent basis.
Quinn has not been cleared for contact following his concussion and will miss his second straight start Monday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers.|||||||
Matt Cassel will start in Quinn's place. Cassel was the starter the first five games of the season before sustaining a concussion and then losing the job during the bye week. The former first-round draft pick returned to Kansas City late Tuesday after being advised by neurologists that he should avoid contact. Quinn has been cleared to take part in light workouts during the individual portion of practices.
