Texans coach Gary Kubiak says cornerback Johnathan Joseph, linebacker Bradie James and offensive linemen Derek Newton and Antoine Caldwell will miss Sunday's game at Tennessee. All of those players sat out Friday's workout, as did cornerback Alan Ball, who has a sore foot. Kubiak had already ruled out linebacker Brooks Reed, who's sidelined indefinitely with a groin injury.|||||||
James (hamstring), Joseph (hamstring), Caldwell (hamstring) and Newton (right knee) have sat out practices all week. Ball will be a game-time decision. The Texans (10-1) can clinch a playoff spot with win in Tennessee (4-7).

The 6-foot-2, 246-pound James played for Dallas from 2003-10. He made more than 100 tackles in five straight seasons and led the Cowboys in tackles six times. He had 15 1/2 sacks, 10 forced fumbles, 12 recoveries and two interceptions in his nine seasons with the Cowboys. James will be reunited with Texans defensive coordinator Wade Phillips, linebackers coach Reggie Herring and assistant linebackers coach Bobby King, who coached him in Dallas.

James, who is listed as day-to-day, had 32 tackles in the Cowboys' first six games.
