Chad Henne replaced him and threw for 354 yards and four touchdowns. He also has a torn labrum in his left shoulder that needs surgery. The Jaguars (1-9) figured it would be better to get it done now.

Gabbert has been injured in the first quarter against the Houston Texans. He bruised his right elbow when he was hit by Danieal Manning and fumbled on Jacksonville's first drive.||||||| Chad Henne took over at quarterback for Jacksonville's next drive with Houston leading 7-0. The team says Gabbert's return is probable.

Gabbert finished 18 of 31 for 209 yards with an interception returned for a touchdown before leaving Thursday's 27-10 loss to Indianapolis in the fourth quarter with an injury to his left, non-throwing shoulder.||||||| Gabbert continues to struggle, but it appears the Jaguars will stick with the second-year QB for the time being.
