Fantasy outlook: QB Andy Dalton
Andy Dalton is the favorite to be the Bengals' starting quarterback if Carson Palmer isn't with Cincinnati in 2011, but Dalton is unlikely to be considered as a starter in most fantasy formats.

With the selection of TCU QB Andy Dalton, the Bengals have all but begun to close the book on Carson Palmer's time in Cincinnati.

The Bengals have re-signed reserve running back Bernard Scott, who missed all but two games last season because of injuries.|||||||
The sixth-round draft pick from 2009 has started three games during his four seasons in Cincinnati. Last year, he suffered a hand injury during preseason, then an ankle injury that resulted in him going on the injured reserve list on Oct. 8. He carried eight times for 35 yards in his two games.
Scott will miss the rest of the season with an injured left knee suffered Sunday.|||||||
Scott got hurt during a 17-13 loss to the Miami Dolphins when the leg bent awkwardly as he was tackled. He later rode a stationary bicycle on the sideline, hoping to go back into the game. The Bengals filled his spot by activating linebacker Dontay Moch, who was suspended the first four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
Defensive end Carlos Dunlap (sprained right knee) and Scott are active for the first time this season.|||||||
Scott missed the first two games with a broke right hand.
Scott has waited two years to get this chance. The shifty running back will be a focus of the Cincinnati Bengals' offense Sunday in Seattle, taking over for suspended starter Cedric Benson. It'll be his first featured appearance since he started two games as a rookie in 2009.|||||||
The question is how much the Bengals (4-2) will change their running game on Sunday in Seattle (2-4), where the crowd is loud and rookie quarterback Andy Dalton will rely on Scott instead of Benson to control the ball. Benson is serving a one-game suspension for violating the NFL's conduct policy. He spent five days in a Texas prison settling two misdemeanor assault cases before the season started. The Bengals expect him back next week for a game at Tennessee.
Scott started Sunday against Cleveland in place of Cedric Benson, who is inactive for the game.|||||||
Scott made his first NFL start last Sunday in Oakland and ran for 119 yards in a 20-17 loss to the Raiders.
