The Tennessee Titans have agreed to a one-year contract with Pollard, the second safety the team has added in free agency this offseason.|||||||
A seven-year veteran, Pollard spent the past two seasons with Baltimore. The 6-foot-1 Pollard also has played with Kansas City and Houston starting 85 of his 105 career games with nine interceptions, nine sacks, 10 forced fumbles and seven recovered fumbles.
Pollard has been released by the Baltimore Ravens, the latest move driven by the Super Bowl champion's offseason salary cap purge.|||||||
Pollard announced his departure Wednesday on Twitter, writing, "Well Ravens Nation. it's been fun. My time in Baltimore is done." The 28-year-old Pollard signed a three-year extension with Baltimore last season, but his release saves the Ravens an estimated $1 million against the salary cap.

The 6-foot-1, 224-pound Pollard will compete with Tom Zbikowski and Haruki Nakamura for the starting position. Landry, who held the position last season, signed with Jacksonville as a free agent.
The Houston Texans have tendered offers to Pollard and six other restricted free agents.|||||||
Pollard joined the team in late September and immediately stepped into a starting role to become a key piece of Houston's improving defense. He had 102 tackles, 1 1/2 sacks and four interceptions to help the Texans to their first winning season.
