Indianapolis has indicated that they would like to keep Bethea for at least one more year.
Bethea has cracked a bone in his right hand, leaving him on the sideline for both of Indianapolis' practices Wednesday.|||||||
Coach Jim Caldwell did not give a timetable for Bethea's return. Caldwell said Bethea would be fitted for a cast and would return when he can play while wearing the cast.

Bethea was injured during last Sunday's 44-20 rout in Baltimore. He did not finish the game, but most of the Colts starters were pulled midway through the third quarter anyway. The injury appears to be serious enough for him to miss some playing time.
