Lee had his best season in 2006 after beating out veteran Tom Rouen in training camp, posting the highest average by a San Francisco punter in 41 seasons. Lee averaged 44.8 yards per kick, finishing seventh in the NFL and barely missing Tommy Davis' franchise record of 45.8 in 1965.
