Caldwell has left the game against Seattle because of a chest injury after taking a hit over the middle Saturday night.|||||||
Caldwell was hauling in a pass from rookie quarterback Brock Osweiler early in the fourth quarter when he was struck near the ribs by safety Chris Maragos. Caldwell stayed on the ground for several minutes before being helped off the field by trainers. His return was doubtful.
The Cincinnati Bengals have placed Caldwell on injured reserve with a hernia, ending his season.|||||||
The fourth-year player saw action in 13 games this season with two starts, making 37 catches for 317 yards and three touchdowns. To replace Caldwell, the Bengals have signed rookie receiver Armon Binns from the practice squad.

"It wasn't that bad," he said Monday, wearing a protective boot on the foot. "I felt it pop, so I knew something was wrong. Last night it got a little more intense after the Adrenalin wore off."
