The Raiders signed Barron, who has not played a game since 2010. He sat out the 2011 season with a knee injury and went to training camp with Seattle last summer but did not make the team.||||||| Barron was a first-round pick by St. Louis in 2005. He has played 87 games and has experience at both left and right tackle. Oakland previously re-signed right tackle Khalif Barnes, who can play guard as well as tackle. Jared Veldheer is expected to remain the starter at left tackle.

After missing the first two weeks of training camp, Barron finally has signed with the St. Louis Rams, agreeing to a five-year contract. The offensive lineman, who was a finalist for the Outland Trophy following his senior season at Florida State, was the 19th overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft.||||||| Barron was expected to start for the Rams this season, but after struggling at a mini-camp over the summer, he was dropped to the second team. Now, his holdout has dropped him down to third on the depth chart. He should eventually move his way back to the top, but it won't be by the start of the regular season, according to head coach Mike Martz.
