He sat out the fourth quarter against Houston in December, which may have kept him from breaking Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing record.

The Vikings lost in Green Bay to the Packers in the NFC playoffs on Saturday to finish 10-7, a seven-win improvement from last year. Peterson said he'll take some time to rest his body, but not much. He said his rehabilitation program showed him the benefit of starting preseason training early.
