Moten played in 10 games this season, primarily on special teams, after being signed as an undrafted rookie. The move frees up a spot on the active roster the day before the winless Colts host Carolina. The Panthers left two injured linebackers at home Saturday, Omar Gaither (knee) and Jason Phillips.
