Rankings will change each week due to personnel changes, injuries and performance on the field, and a team’s ranking in any given week has no impact on where they might rank in weeks to come. Rankings will fluctuate a great deal more the first few weeks of the season as teams seek their levels and schedules balance out. These are PFW’s Power Rankings following Week 6 as teams head into the seventh weekend of regular season games. Rank/Team/Record/The Skinny 1. Chiefs: 5-1 Were due to lose, still don’t see who’s better 2. Patriots: 4-2 Not themselves but winning again; pedigree 3. Eagles: 5-1 Beating everyone they play but K.C. 4. Steelers: 4-2 Chiefs win more like it, more to prove 5. Seahawks: 3-2 Only here because of defense6. Rams: 4-2 Hard to know how seriously to take them 7. Panthers: 4-2 Eagles made Cam look awfully shaky 8. Vikings: 4-2 League seems to be all about “D" right now 9. Saints: 3-2 “D" not there yet but Brees still is 10. Broncos: 3-2 Not going far with that offensive line 11. Jaguars: 3-3 Boy, talk about Jekyll and Hyde 12. Dolphins: 3-2 Huge comeback in Atlanta; who are these guys? 13. Falcons: 3-2 Really should be 1-514. Packers: 4-2 Could struggle to stay this high without A-Rod 15. Lions: 3-3 Last two losses expose all the flaws 16. Bills: 3-2 Much improved but ready for the big boys? 17. Washington: 3-2 Hard to believe 49ers are that tough an out 18. Texans: 3-3 “D” not as scary but Watson starting to look special 19. Cardinals: 3-3 A.P.’s in the house and he isn't done yet 20. Cowboys: 2-3 Have to play defense before we can believe 21. Titans: 3-3 Should be better after exorcising Colts demon 22. Bucs: 2-3 Without Winston, can’t see them competing23. Chargers: 2-4 Back-to-back impressive wins but long way to go 24. Ravens: 3-3 Could be the injuries but awful right now 25.
