Madden 18 gameplay modes
There are three gameplay styles in Madden 18: Arcade, Simulation and Competitive.
Arcade mode is for casual players that want to light up the scoreboard. There are virtually no injuries, almost no penalties called, and it felt like the hit stick was more responsive. If you’re a beginner or want to see a game in the 60s, Arcade mode is for you.
Simulation is a much more realistic experience as far as an NFL game. It’s based on skills and player ratings, while injuries are back in as compared to arcade mode and more penalties are called.
For a hardcore gamer, simulation mode is the way to go.
Competitive mode caters more to the e-sports crowd. EA announced the Madden 18 championship series, where the best Madden players in the world will compete for a prize pool of $1.153 million.
There is a new target passing mechanic this year. It’s got a steep learning curve, moving fast and rewarding accuracy. But if you can get the hang of it, you can lead your receiver and open up new opportunities in the passing game.
