The Browns traded a third-round draft pick to acquire Taylor in the 2018 offseason. Last season, he led the Bills to their first playoff berth of the 21st Century. In 14 starts for Buffalo last season, Taylor threw for 2,799 yards and 14 touchdowns. He was picked off just four times. Taylor added 427 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. Taylor rushed for a combined 1,575 yards and 14 touchdowns in three seasons with the Bills
Taylor becomes the 29th starting quarterback for the Browns since 1999. The 30th will likely be Baker Mayfield. Cleveland selected the rookie from Oklahoma with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 draft. It seems like a safe bet Mayfield will become the starter some time in the 2018 season
Taylor will have to play extremely well to stave off Mayfield. There is no guarantee Taylor will start the opener, let alone the entire 2018 season. If Taylor is the starter, his dual-threat ability makes him an intriguing streaming option.
