With C.J. Fiedorowicz on the shelf with a concussion most of last season, Anderson got his opportunity and responded with 25 catches for 342 yards and a touchdown. Fiedorowicz retired in the offseason. Anderson was used primarily at wide receiver at Cal, and has significant potential, especially if Deshaun Watson is healthy and productive.
Anderson has caught a total of 36 passes in two seasons. There is no guarantee heíll make Houstonís final roster, let alone be the teamís go-to tight end.
Anderson is an interesting fantasy prospect. Monitor his production in the preseason and keep him on your short list of potential sleeper tight ends. But if it appears one of the Jordans -- Houstonís two rookie TEs, Jordan Akins and Jordan Thomas -- is gaining on Anderson, be ready to adjust.
