Although you might get some pushback from fans in Dallas and New England, Tucker might well be the most talented kicker in the NFL. One fact not up for debate is that his 90.2 percent conversion rate makes him the most accurate kicker in NFL history (minimum 100 attempts). Though still young at 28, he has a significant body of NFL work, including playoff runs and a Super Bowl ring. In 2017, Tucker converted 34 of 37 field goals, and was a perfect 39 of 39 on extra points. He made all four of his attempts from 50 and beyond, including a 57-yarder in Week Seven at Minnesota. Although kickers donít often turn up on the injury list, the fact that Tucker has never missed a game in his professional career is still impressive.
Baltimore finished 27th in yards gained in 2017. Believe it or not, they havenít had a top-10 offense since 1997. In the 20 years since then, theyíve finished with below-average offensive production in most seasons.
If these rankings were based solely on ability, Tucker would likely top the list. In fantasy football, however, opportunity is just as important as skill. Tucker slips a couple of spots because the Ravens do not have an elite offense. Still, his talent is enough to keep him in the top five. Any improvement in Baltimoreís offense could lead to a scoring title for the incredibly reliable Tucker.
