Lambo was cut by the Chargers just prior to the start of the 2017 season after losing the starting job to rookie Younghoe Koo. Lambo was signed by Jacksonville in October and responded by nailing 19 of his 20 FG attempts, including a long of 56 yards. In three playoff games last season, Lambo was a perfect four-for-four on field goals and nine-for-nine on PATs. Lambo made at least one field goal in all 13 of his games (regular and postseason) with the Jaguars. Side note: Koo lasted all of four weeks with L.A.
Probably the only knock on Lambo is his limited tenure with Jacksonville. Well, that and the fact he once managed to lose his job to Younghoe Koo.
In 2017, Jacksonville featured a solid running game and a ferocious defense. If the Jaguars build on their success this season, Lambo has a lot of upside.
