2018 Projections

Manning tossed for 3,468 yards in 15 games in 2017 -- good for 15th in the NFL. The former No. 1 overall pick in the 2004 draft has thrown for 4,000 or more yards six times in his career. Manning has finished among the top 10 in passing yards six times over the last nine seasons. In 2014 and 2015, Manning averaged 4,420 yards and 32.5 touchdown passes. The Giants selected RB Saquon Barkley with the No. 2 overall pick in 2018. The addition of Barkley, and a healthy return of Odell Beckham, Jr. should mean marked improvement for the Giants' offense, now led by head coach Pat Shurmur, who oversaw Case Keenum's 2017 breakthrough.

Manning was benched for a game in 2017 due to poor play. He threw for only 19 TDs -- his lowest output since 2013 -- and was intercepted 13 times. His passing yards last season were his lowest since 2008. Manning has thrown for 30 or more touchdowns just three times in his 15 NFL seasons

Bottom Line

Manning has posted a few dream seasons, and a few -- including 2017 -- that were nightmares. Itís possible -- perhaps probable -- that Manning will post better numbers in 2018 than he did in 2017. Those numbers will have to be a whole lot better to justify a spot for Manning on your fantasy roster
