Strong Points: Tough and aggressive -- willing to throw his body around. Narrow frame but often lines up in the box and supports the run. Alert in zone and keeps receivers in front of him. Good athlete with good body control and flexibility. Adequate long speed.
Weak Points: Very narrow frame and will struggle to get much bigger. Too often overpowered by blockers. Lacks top strength and will miss some tackles when he doesn't wrap up. Lacks much experience in deep zone and his man-coverage responsibilities usually in the flat (not downfield).
The Way We See It: A former Junior College transfer who was at Utah for the past two seasons, Blair is tall with long limbs but also a very narrow frame. Despite his build, he often lined up close and fearlessly threw his body around. Indeed, he is willing in run support but has trouble getting off blocks and tackling consistently. When in deep zone, he keeps the play in front of him, but his ball reactions and ball skills are average. Blair is undoubtedly tough, but it says here he's also too limited to start in the league, where he projects as a solid backup and very good special-teams player.
