Weak Points: Plays upright. Average size for the position. Looks high-cut. Not strong and explosive in taking on blocks, and slow to shed. Average instincts -- more of a reactor than an anticipator. Average speed and range. Too many plays made downfield, not at or near the line of scrimmage.
The Way We See It: The numbers we see on paper and the play we see on tape don't match up. Giles-Harris' play dropped off in 2018, when he missed the final four games because of a MCL injury. He is not a big, tough, instinctive linebacker, struggling with stacking at the point and taking on blocks. Giles-Harris more often will try to elude blocks, which can take him out of plays. He plays hard but is limited by only average athleticism and no quick twitch. Giles-Harris purely will be a backup in a 4-3 ‘D.'
