- BProjectionRound 4
- Hand9 ½
- Arm33 ¼
Strong Points: Size, strength, athleticism. Played in a NFL-type offensive system. Has a good release and does a good job getting off jam. Good route runner. Has very good hands and a large receiving radius. Can extend and make the difficult catch. Effective as a blocker. Shows his strength and power as a runner after the catch. Has the frame to get bigger. Can be physical. The go-to receiver for Stanford last season.
Weak Points: Gets open deep at the college level but won't do so consistently in the NFL. Prone to some concentration drops. More of a possession receiver at the NFL level.
The Way We See It: A four-year player and two-year starter at Stanford who improved every year. Big, tall and athletic with the frame to get even bigger and stronger. Had a breakout year in 2018 with 60 receptions for 969 yards and 14 TDs. He's not a real speed guy but fast enough. Runs good routes and can uncover vs. man or zone. Uses his size and strength well. Impressive reach and can high point the ball. Does a good job in traffic. Not super elusive but consistently generates yards after the catch. With his size and growth potential, he might become a "move" tight end at the next level. Will be difficult for safeties to cover. His workout will have a lot to say about that potential move.
