Strong Points: All-out competitor, snap to whistle. Makes some big-time, but not enough of them. Quick off the ball. Consistent penetrator vs. the run. Flashes as a pass rusher -- especially when he gets a jump on his opponent. Strong tackler.

Weak Points: A bit short for the position. Slow off blocks because he needs to improve his hand use.

The Way We See It: Wise comes from a football family. Dad played in the league and older brother Deatrich plays for the Patriots. Daniel is a three-year starter and a productive player. He lacks ideal height but has good arm length and a terrific motor. He is quick to read and react but occasionally slow to disengage because his hand use needs work. Wise flashes as an inside rusher, also chasing the ball in pursuit and taking good angles. He appears best suited to be a 3-tech in a 4-3 scheme. He can play 5-tech but lacks the height many teams covet. Wise should start out as a rotational player and eventually ascend to a starter.
