Strong Points: Very productive. Speed and quickness. Tough and competitive -- including in traffic. Proficient run-after-catch skills. Experience as a punt and kick returner. Gets in and out of cuts with fluidity and suddenness.
Weak Points: Size -- very short arms, small hands (29 5/8", 8 ½"). Small receiving radius. Catches a lot of throws within the confines of his body. Deficient blocking. Not immune to a strong jam, which can hold Isabella up and/or knock him off his route.
The Way We See It: A very productive player at UMass, Isabella logged 231 career receptions and 30 TDs. He also was a productive kickoff returner early in his career and solid returning punts later too. As good as he was in college, Isabella's traits don't translate well to the NFL. His short arms and small hands will limit him at the next level, and though he is very quick with good speed, he is not a burner. Isabella's competitive nature and and return ability gives him a chance to be a fourth or fifth receiver in the right situation. But he'll be a slot-only. Isabella could be difficult to cut because he makes plays, but limitations are limitations. He is no Tarik Cohen, the Bears' miniature swiss army knife drafted in the fourth round out of North Carolina A&T in 2017.
