Strong Points: Good size. Flashes good play strength and the ability to gain yards after contact. Stays square to the line of scrimmage. Jump cutter who can find a seam. Very good Combine numbers.

Weak Points: Timed speed (don't see a quick burst to get the corner turned). Tendency to run tall. Often body catches and has a small receiving radius. Inconsistent blocker.

The Way We See It: Barnes had a very productive 2018 season at Kansas State with 1,355 yards and another 20 receptions. As good as his production is, he looks average on tape. Barnes has good initial quickness and does a nice job keeping his shoulders square to the line of scrimmage but is basically a one-cut runner without a burst. He gets what's there and then a few extra yards after contact, but Barnes shows no special qualities. He is a reliable check-down receiver with a small receiving radius. Overall, he is a backup-type who may be able to produce on special teams because of his toughness. Late-round pick with limited upside.
