Strong Points

Good size with an impressive combo of strength, power and explosion. Has both quickness and speed. Quick to hole. His excellent vision and instincts means he rarely makes a poor decision. Strong inside runner who can get yards on his own and possesses the burst to get outside. Big-time breakaway ability. Good hands and short route runner. Willing blocker. Because he played in a rotation, he doesn't arrive in the NFL with the wear and tear of most backs. Can pick and slide or jump cut to find a seam inside.

Weak Points

Will need to improve his pass blocking. Good, not great elusiveness. Never had to be the bell cow in college.

The Way We See It

Michel is a true senior who spent his entire career playing in a rotation. Still, he managed to put up some outstanding numbers and ran for more than 3,600 yards and 33 touchdowns. Big and strong, he has very good initial quickness and really good vision and instincts. Seldom makes a poor decision. Creativity, quick feet help him find inside creases. Terrific run strength and consistently gets yards after first defender meets him. Big and strong, but he has speed and easily gains the corners. Breaks a number of long runs. Not real elusive in space, but he can make the first man miss. Not used a lot as a receiver, but he has soft hands and can adjust to the ball. Willing blocker. Overall, Michel really came on in '17 and could be the kind of prospect who becomes a better pro than a college player. His game translates well to the NFL.
