Strong Points: Productive. Very fast, quick and elusive. Has great feet and change of direction. Shows an instant burst. Can hit a home run any time he touches the ball. Very strong for his size and can break tackles. Good receiver out of the backfield. Effective both inside and outside.
Weak Points: Size; he won't get much bigger. Blocking. Has never returned kicks.
The Way We See It: A true junior, Jones II had a very productive career at USC, running for more than 3,600 yards and 39 touchdowns. Jones isn't the biggest guy, but he is strong for his size. He has great speed, a quick burst and plenty of elusiveness. Jones is capable of taking it to the house on every touch and from anywhere on the field. He has some Reggie Bush-type traits. Though he is a willing blocker, Jones isn't consistently effective. Keeps improving as a receiver and had his best year in '17, averaging 13.4 yards per catch. Has the ability to be a very good kickoff returner but never did it as a collegian. Overall, with his size, I doubt he can carry the ball 20-25 times per game, but he can handle 20 -25 touches. If that happens, he will make big plays. Could go late in the first but probably a second-rounder.
