Strong Points: Very active player who worked his way into a starting position at Alabama. Has good size and the frame to get bigger. Very good athlete for the position, with speed, balance, change of direction and body control. Plays strong at the point, where he can use his hands and get rid of blocks. Has good instincts, finds ball and makes plays. Does a good job in coverage. Has range and is a good tackler both in tight and in space.
Weak Points: Needs to get a little bigger. Only a year as a full-time starter. Missed two games this year with a severe groin injury.
The Way We See It: Fourth-year senior. Typical Alabama program guy who had to wait his turn to get on the field. Backup his first two years, split time in 2016 and then became the full-time starter in 2017. Well-coached, technique-sound and instinctive. Plays the run and pass equally well. He's a strong and physical player and can be effective as a blitzer. Has some OLB experience and that helps his pass rush. Consistent chase player with range. Has the traits to be scheme versatile and should play early in his career. Premium-round draft choice.
