Strong Points: Three-year starter at left guard. Outstanding size with length and excellent strength and power. Good athlete with very good bend. Dominant run-blocker who consistently gets movement and often puts opponent on their back. Good to the second level. Can pull and adjust on the move. Quick hands in pass pro with an outstanding punch. Anchors as well as anyone. Good mirror skills; has the feet and recovery to stay on opponent through moves. Competes hard and aims to punish opponent.

Weak Points: Too heavy early in his career and that hurt his mobility and his ability to play in space. Has short-area quickness but won't win any speed awards.

The Way We See It: A fourth-year junior and three-year starter. Has been a fixture at left guard the last three seasons for Irish. Huge man with outstanding strength and power. A dominant run-blocker and a very good pass-protector. Has excellent work habits and is a vocal team leader. Will be an immediate starter for the team that drafts him. Early in his career he came close to 350 and lost mobility. Weight isn't a problem but he needs to stay closer to 330. Possesses the talent to become a Pro Bowler early in his career. Might be the best offensive lineman in this draft, but because he plays guard he may not be the first lineman drafted.
