Strong Points: Three-year starter (two at left tackle, one at right). Tall and long, has the frame to carry 320-plus pounds. Good-to-very-good athlete with quick feet, change of direction, body control and bend. Tough, physical and competitive, he looks to finish on every play. Top run-blocker who can knock opponents off the line of scrimmage and get out into space. Natural bender who can anchor and won't get bull rushed. Sets quickly in pass pro and has good lateral agility; can slide and recover. Quick hands, keeps them inside and has been well-coached on how to use them. Team leader and a tireless worker. Has been very durable.

Weak Points: Had trouble with wide speed in two games this year. Was called too often for false starts in 2016 -- his first on the left side

The Way We See It: A fifth-year senior and three-year starter. Redshirted in 2013 and played as a backup in 2014. Starter at right tackle in 2015 and has been on the left side the past two seasons. Looked uncomfortable on the left side in 2016 but played much better last year. Quick off the ball and a dominant run-blocker. For the most part he has been a very good pass-blocker, but had trouble with wide speed in both the Miami and Georgia games. He probably can be a winning left tackle in the NFL, but he may be a Pro Bowl right tackle. Regardless, he comes in and starts right away. The type of player you want on your team and in your locker room.
