Pittsburgh -4 vs. N.Y. GIANTS (34)

With Eli Manning and Jim Sorgi out (and Rhett Bomar in for extended playing time) for the Giants and the Steelers to play Ben Roethlisberger for the first time in the preseason, Pittsburgh is now favored after opening as an underdog.

JACKSONVILLE -2 vs. Miami (36)

Jaguars are favored by as many as 2½ points and by as few as 1½  points per VegasInsider.com.

TAMPA BAY -2½ vs. Kansas City (34)

Preseason games are always important for young and rebuilding teams like these.

CLEVELAND -3½  vs. St. Louis (35½)

The Browns' passing offense was sharp in the preseason opener.

NEW ORLEANS -1 vs. Houston (41)

Have seen this game as a pick 'em and with Houston favored by one on VegasInsider.com. The total is high for a preseason game, but both teams have very good offenses, and both teams had their preseason openers go Over the total.

N.Y. Jets -2 vs. CAROLINA (34)

The Panthers opened as favorites. The Jets are a very popular team right now; call it the "Rex Effect."

CHICAGO -1 vs. Oakland (33½)

The Bears' backup QB concerns probably hold this line down a point or two.

SAN DIEGO -2½ vs. Dallas (36)

Chargers' first-team offense bears watching with Seattle reportedly interested in trading for Vincent Jackson.

DENVER -3 vs. Detroit (36)

Tune in for Champ Bailey vs. Calvin Johnson.

SEATTLE -1 vs. Green Bay (38½)

Aaron Rodgers was outstanding in the preseason opener vs. Cleveland and should give Seattle's secondary fits.
