Before closing up shop at PFW for the evening, I thought I’d quickly pose a question about this Sunday’s game that I can’t seem to get out of my head: WHAT WILL THE QUALITY OF THE OFFICIATING BE LIKE?

There have been more than a few Super Bowls in which there didn’t seem to be much officiating at all, with the zebras opting to employ a “Let the players play” mindset. But one has to wonder just how loosely officiated this Super Bowl will be considering the need recently stated by Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams for his troops to administer more than a few “remember me” hits on one Peyton Manning.

Will Saints DE Bobby McCray, for one, be a marked man by the flag throwers? Or will the refs be too yellow to penalize more than a few potentially cheap and harmful shots?

I envision some sort of balance between the two that promises to be very interesting and hopefully not very imposing.
