It was brought to my attention that it was South C Ted Larsen, not J.D. Walton, who was guilty of making a shotgun snap over the head of QB Jarrett Brown that was recovered by DE Austen Lane in Saturday Senior Bowl in Mobile.
I wrote that it had been Walton, who plays center but was in the game as a guard, that was the offender.
I regret the mistake. There was some mayhem in the press box there, and we got word it was Walton, not Larsen, at center. I checked the official stats again, and neither one was credited with a fumble, but checking it again Larsen was the guy.
Just wanted to make that clear for you draftniks out there.
Dan Parr and I had a blast in New Orleans and Mobile. We're back now, and I will be unloading the recorder and notebook for any leftover tibits I couldn't fit into the blog or the rest of the Web site. I also will be writing something on North head coach Jim Schwartz, who was kind enough to give me some one-on-one time before the Senior Bowl to talk about the Lions.
