Caught most of the game last night after the first quarter, and I have to say Darrelle Revis has impressed me more than almost any defender this season.
I didn't think corners could play at a much higher level than, say, Nnamdi Asomugha last season or Champ Bailey in 2006.
But Revis is having an amazing season. They just lock him up with the opponent's best receiver and let him go.
And he was at it last night, shutting down Terrell Owens and making the game-clinching interception. Just another day at the office, four days after he shut down Panthers WR Steve Smith.
Free advice to quarterbacks: Do not throw at Revis. If your team is too dependent on one wideout, the Jets automatically have a huge edge.
Charles Woodson is having an amazing season, and he might be a more versatile guy. He can blitz and stop the run a little better than Revis, I would say. But if you give me one cover corner to shut down a top wideout, I am going with Revis. Right now, no one comes close to him.
