It's 4th-and-1 for the Lions after they recovered a first-quarter Adrian Peterson fumble, and they go for it. Not only that, but they run the ball — right at the best rushing defense each of the past three seasons and get it.

Good for the Lions. Good for Jim Schwartz. And good for the fans. They really had nothing to lose at this point, and this barely sould-out crowd needed this boost. Of course, they ended up kicking a (shorter) field goal, but that's not the point. The point is that they are going to play to win.

Nice start by the Lions. Wouldn't stun me if they play very well this season.
