The United Football League announced today the signing of 11 players to its California Redwoods franchise, including former NFL QB Shane Boyd.

The 26-year-old Boyd was an undrafted free agent out of Kentucky in 2003. He spent time with the Cardinals and the Texans, but didn't make it into any games.

Also signed by the Redwoods was WR Marcus Fitzgerald, who is the brother of Cardinals All-Pro WR Larry Fitzgerald. Marcus Fitzgerald attended Marshall.
