Spoke to a source close to the situation earlier who wasn't sure that Eagles first-round WR Jeremy Maclin was going to be ready to go by the time the Eagles hit the field for their first official training-camp practice Friday morning.

This is news because as recently as late last week, it appeared he would be signed and ready to go. Maclin worked out with Donovan McNabb in Arizona this offseason and is said to have made strides.

Although he's not considered a serious holdout candidate, Maclin probably won't be at the morning practice. Just wanted to let you guys know this.
