Best laugh of the day just came delivered from senior editor Mike Wilkening -- an Illinois grad, I might add -- who shouted out "South Beach!" as soon as the Dolphins selected Vontae Davis.

As you might or might not know, Davis is considered an immature young man who often frustrated his coaches in Champaign with his attitude and approach. And, how should we say it ... he likes to have a good time, as they say. Talent-wise, there's little question about him, but I must say that there were point in his career where he didn't play up to snuff (turn on the Western Michigan tape, off the top of my head).

If he hits, it's a home run. The kid can man-cover, tackle and has a physique most of us would die for. He could be a 10-year starter at left corner. How often do you find those at the 25th pick? Then again, we said the same things about DeAngelo Hall ... two teams ago.

Bill Parcells had better be sure about this kid, though, to make him the pick.
