The Steelers did not waste a lot of time at the end of Round One, selecting Missouri DT Ziggy Hood, who likely projects to end in their 3-4 scheme. It's an intriguing pick: the Steelers haven't selected a lineman with an eye on playing him at end since 1988, when they took Eastern Kentucky DE Aaron Jones. Hood is strong and disruptive, and the Steelers don't have to rush him into the lineup, what with DEs Aaron Smith and Brett Keisel still effective players.
Look for Pittsburgh to add at least one offensive lineman, perhaps someone who can play center and guard, with one of their next eight draft picks.
