Something tells me the Seahawks are well on their way toward reclaiming top-dog status in the NFC West after a short hiatus. I love their pick of Wake Forest OLB Aaron Curry with the fourth pick overall in the first round, and considering team president Tim Ruskell's acumen when it comes to making picks in Round Two (Lofa Tatupu in 2005, John Carlson last year), I have a feeling the Hawks are going to draft two quality players who will contribute right away in the first two rounds.
At the same time, even though they have yet to make a pick, I have a sense the Cardinals' division supremacy could be short-lived if the rumors I am hearing this afternoon that Anquan Boldin could be traded before the night runs out (would you believe to the Bears????) are accurate.
If Boldin bolts from the desert, the Cardinals suddenly have a big need at receiver, with no guarantee that second-year pro Early Doucet will be able to fill the No. 3 WR role behind Larry Fitzgrald and Steve Breaston. Stay tuned!!!!
Only four rounds into the 2009 draft, the balance of power in the NFC West might have shifted signficantly.
