NBC Universal president and CEO Jeff Zucker announced Saturday that the network had sold all of its ad time for Super Bowl XLIII and will bring a record $206 million in advertising revenue for the game.
"This is an extraordinary story for NBC against the backdrop of this economy," Zucker said in a press release.
Added NBC Universal Sports & Olympics chairman Dick Ebersol, "The plan to aggressively sell the majority of our advertising early in the process at the record unit price of $3 million showed tremendous foresight."Thirty-two advertisers purchased ad time with NBC for Super Bowl XLIII. The ads will also be available for view after they air on television on Superbowl.com, NBC.com and Hulu.com.
