A breakdown of the deals made during draft weekend


April 27, 2003

Friday, April 25

1) Chicago traded its first-round pick (No. 4) to the New York Jets in exchange for the Jets' two first-round picks (Nos. 13 and 22) and a fourth-round pick (No. 116). The Jets drafted Kentucky DT Dewayne Robertson with the No. 4 pick. Chicago traded the No. 13 pick (see #4 below), drafted Florida QB Rex Grossman with the No. 22 pick and Florida DT Ian Scott with the No. 116 pick.

2) New England traded a third-round pick (No. 78) to Miami in exchange for a second-round pick in 2004. Miami drafted Memphis OT Wade Smith with the No. 78 pick. 

Saturday, April 26

3) Arizona traded the No. 6, No. 37 and No. 102 picks to New Orleans in exchange for the No. 17, No. 18 and No. 54 picks. New Orleans drafted Georgia DT Johnathan Sullivan with the No. 6 pick, Georgia OT Jonathan Stinchcomb with the No. 37 pick and Florida State OG Montrae Holland with the No. 102 pick. Arizona drafted Penn State WR Bryant Johnson with the No. 17 pick, Wake Forest DE Calvin Pace with the No. 18 pick and Florida State WR Anquan Boldin with the No. 54 pick.

4) Chicago traded the No. 13 pick to New England in exchange for the No. 14 pick and a sixth-round pick (No. 193). With the No. 13 pick, New England drafted Texas A&M DT Ty Warren. Chicago drafted Penn State DE Michael Haynes with the No. 14 pick and traded the No. 193 pick (see #15 below).

5) San Diego traded the No. 15 pick to Philadelphia in exchange for the No. 30 and No. 62 picks. With the No. 15 pick, Philadelphia drafted Miami (Fla.) DE Jerome McDougle. San Diego drafted Texas A&M CB Sammy Davis with the No. 30 pick and Texas A&M FS Terrance Kiel with the No. 62 pick.  

6) Kansas City traded the No. 16 pick to Pittsburgh in exchange for the No. 27, No. 92 and No. 200 picks. With the No. 16 pick, Pittsburgh drafted USC S Troy Polamalu. Kansas City drafted Penn State RB Larry Johnson with the No. 27 pick, Tennessee CB Julian Battle with the No. 92 pick and traded the No. 200 pick (see #17 below). 

7) New England traded the No. 19 pick to Baltimore in exchange for the No. 41 pick and a first-round pick in the 2004 draft. Baltimore drafted California QB Kyle Boller with the No. 19 pick. New England traded the No. 41 pick (see #8 below).

8) Houston traded the No. 36 and No. 117 picks to New England in exchange for the No. 41 and No. 75 picks. New England drafted Illinois CB Eugene Wilson with the No. 36 pick and Temple DT Dan Klecko with the No. 117 pick. Houston drafted Michigan TE Ben Joppru with the No. 41 pick and Northwest Missouri State OT Seth Wand with the No. 75 pick.

9) Carolina traded the No. 45 pick to New England in exchange for the No. 50 and No. 120 picks. New England drafted Texas A&M WR Bethel Johnson with the No. 45 pick. Carolina drafted Iowa C Bruce Nelson with the No. 50 pick and traded the No. 120 pick (see #11 below).

10) Buffalo traded the No. 79 pick to Green Bay in exchange for the No. 94 and No. 127 picks. With the No. 79 pick, Green Bay drafted Ohio State DE Kenny Peterson. Buffalo drafted Virginia LB Angelo Crowell with the No. 94 pick and North Carolina WR Sam Aiken with the No. 127 pick.

11) Denver traded the No. 82 pick to Carolina in exchange for the No. 108, No. 120 and No. 227 picks. Carolina drafted UCLA CB Ricky Manning Jr. with the No. 82 pick. Denver drafted Oklahoma RB Quentin Griffin with the No. 108 pick, traded the No. 120 pick (see #13 below) and drafted Florida DE Clint Mitchell with the No. 227 pick.

12) Houston traded the No. 83 and No. 262 picks to Oakland in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2004 draft. Oakland drafted Fresno State LB Sam Williams with the No. 83 pick and Gustavus Adolphus WR Ryan Hoag with the No. 262 pick.

Sunday, April 27

13) Denver traded the No. 120 pick to New England in exchange for the No. 128 and No. 157 picks. New England drafted Central Florida CB Asante Samuel with the No. 120 pick. Denver drafted Clemson DE Bryant McNeal with the No. 128 pick and Mississippi C Ben Claxton with the No. 157 pick.

14) Houston traded the No. 138 pick to Indianapolis in exchange for a fourth-round pick in 2004. Indianapolis drafted Alabama A&M DE Robert Mathis with the No. 138 pick.

15) Jacksonville traded the No. 143 pick to Chicago in exchange for the No. 176, No. 193 and No. 218 picks. Chicago drafted Missouri WR Justin Gage with the No. 143 pick. Jacksonville drafted Rice DE Brandon Green with the No. 176 pick, Howard OT Marques Ogden with the No. 193 pick and USC RB Malaefou MacKenzie with the No. 218 pick.

16) Seattle traded the No. 147 pick to Green Bay in exchange for the No. 165 and No. 203 picks. Green Bay drafted Oregon State DT James Lee with the No. 147 pick. Seattle drafted Syracuse FB Chris Davis with the No. 165 pick and traded the No. 203 pick (see #21 below).

17) Kansas City traded the No. 150 and No. 200 picks to the N.Y. Jets in exchange for the No. 153 and No. 189 picks. The N.Y. Jets drafted Miami (Fla.) DT Matthew Walters with the No. 150 pick and Wisconsin QB Brooks Bollinger with the No. 200 pick. Kansas City drafted Notre Dame OT Jordan Black with the No. 153 pick and Oklahoma DE Jimmy Wilkerson with the No. 189 pick.

18) New England traded the No. 154 and No. 225 picks to Tennessee in exchange for the No. 164, No. 201 and No. 243 picks. Tennessee drafted Ohio State FS Donnie Nickey with the No. 154 pick and Florida State OG Todd Williams with the No. 225 pick. New England drafted Boston College C Dan Koppen with the No. 164 pick, Texas Tech QB Kliff Kingsbury with the No. 201 pick and Baylor DT Ethan Kelley with the No. 243 pick.

19) Philadelphia traded the No. 166 pick to Green Bay in exchange for the No. 185 and No. 244 picks. Green Bay drafted Vanderbilt LB Hunter Hillenmeyer with the No. 166 pick. Philadelphia drafted Southern Mississippi OG Jeremy Bridges with the No. 185 pick and LSU S Norman LeJeune with the No. 244 pick.

20) Carolina traded the No. 181 pick to Miami in exchange for the No. 226 and No. 247 picks. Miami drafted South Carolina S Corey Jenkins with the No. 181 pick. Carolina drafted Illinois WR Walter Young with the No. 226 pick and  Stanford FB Casey Moore with the No. 247 pick.

21) Seattle traded the No. 203 pick to New Orleans in exchange for Saints DT Norman Hand. New Orleans drafted USC WR Kareem Kelly with the No. 203 pick.

22) Detroit traded WR Larry Foster to Arizona in exchange for the No. 220 pick. Detroit drafted Cincinnati CB Daniel "Blue" Adams with the No. 220 pick. 

23) Detroit traded RB Aveion Cason to Dallas in exchange for the No. 236 pick. Detroit drafted Colorado FB Brandon Drumm with the No. 236 pick.

24) Philadelphia traded the No. 245 pick to Green Bay in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the 2004 draft. Green Bay drafted Louisville CB Chris Johnson with the No. 245 pick.
