Rams put McMichael on injured reserve

By PFW staff
Oct. 6, 2008

Rams TE Randy McMichael is officially out for the rest of the season after being placed on injured reserve. McMichael broke a bone in his lower right leg in the Week Four loss to Buffalo. Throughout the offseason, it appeared he was being groomed to be a major weapon in new coordinator Al Saunders' TE-friendly. He is currently the Rams' third-leading receiver this season, with 11 catches for 139 yards.

McMichael has been replaced in the starting lineup by third-year pro Joe Klopfenstein. His place on the roser will be filled by Daniel Fells, a California-Davis product signed off the Buccaneers' practice squad.
