Rams' Wroten suspended

By PFW staff
July 23, 2008

The NFL announced early Wednesday evening that Rams third-year DT Claude Wroten has been suspended without pay for a mininum of one year for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.

Wroten is eligible to be reinstated no sooner than May 30, 2009. The Rams were counting on Wroten easing the load of starting DT La’Roi Glover this season, and considering Wroten's previous off-the-field problems, the odds of him remaining on the team are probably not good.
