Starters*: 11
Pro Bowlers: 2
Consider the Seahawks’ drafting efforts the past five years a mixed bag. Only one of the first-round picks in that span, CB Marcus Trufant in 2003, has developed into a star player. But the Hawks have hit tape-measure homers with their second picks the past three years — Pro Bowl MLB Lofa Tatupu in ’05, up-and-coming DRE Darryl Tapp in ’06 and DT Brandon Mebane, a third-round pick who has played like a first-rounder in place of the injured Chuck Darby, in ’07. D.J. Hackett and Craig Terrill were great second-day picks in ’04.
