Niners sign fourth-round draft pick Wallace

Five down and one to go.
That's the latest signing update out of Santa Clara, Calif., where the Niners announced late this morning that they have agreed to terms with their 2008 fourth-round draft pick, C Cody Wallace. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Wallace's signing leaves the Niners with first-round pick DL Kentwan Balmer as the lone rookie yet to agree to a contract.
The 6-4, 300-pound Wallace served as the team captain last year at Texas A&M and started 13 games, earning All-Big 12 Conference and the league's Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year honors. Wallace provides depth at center behind Eric Heitmann and could possibly challenge Heitmann for the starting role.
