Boldin's positive prognosis overshadows Cardinals' ugly loss

Fitzgerald signs new deal with Cardinals

After several months of often-intense negotiations, the Cardinals finally have agreed on a new contract for star WR Larry Fitzgerald that instantly creates badly needed salary-cap room. Cardinals franchise Dansby

As was widely expected, the Cardinals placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on LB Karlos Dansby on Thursday — one week before the 2008 season’s tag deadline.
